A Smarter Way to Finish
Grad School
Completing graduate school is a challenging task without the right support. Over 50% of students quit PhD programs, while 20% fail to finish masters level programs. We will help you navigate the complexities of graduate school while maintaining your sanity!
About Us
Grad Hacks was founded to empower graduate students to accomplish their academic and professional dreams. This site is managed by a PhD graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower you to find your voice, fund your students, have fun, and complete your studies with your mental health intact.
Our Values
We are committed to serving diverse communities and embed diversity and inclusion in our work.
We believe that learning happens when institutions value difference, recognize that we each start from different places, and intentionally create a culture of belonging and respect. We aim to create a supportive community, inclusive of international students, LGBTQ+, and other minorities.
Our Priorities
Individual Coaching
We host free workshops to uncover what makes you succeed. We use Gallup’s CliftonStrengths tool to identify your natural talents, preferences, and blind spots. After explaining your results, we will guide you to create sustainable action plans to complete graduate school.
Circles of Support
We intentionally create circles of support to encourage you along your journey. Our advisors are past and current graduate students who believe in giving back. They share their insights on the research, funding, and job search process to give back to others.
Career Guidance
Not everyone with a terminal degree is meant to be in academia. We help students find their voice and place as an academic, practitioner, or scholar-practitioner.
